Simon is a GMC accredited specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, having completed training programmes in South Africa and Oxford (UK). Simon has a special interest in the care of cleft lip and palate patients and is a consultant at Alder Hey and Aintree University hospitals. He is also the clinical director of the Northwest, North Wales and Isle of Man cleft network.
He is also registered as a specialist with the General Dental Council (UK) and is responsible for a wide range of oral surgery, including implants, bone grafting and removal of wisdom teeth at the Dental Academy.
In addition to this, Simon has published various scientific papers and presented at international meetings and conferences.
An ex-rugby player, Simon now enjoys cycling and has completed numerous long-distance running events including the Comrades ultra-marathon.
