I studied Dentistry at the University of Manchester, gaining my degree in 1996. Whilst studying at Manchester I became interested in the discipline of dental aesthetics through the teaching of Professor Trevor Burke. This interest developed further after graduating, to become a career-long passion in aesthetic restorative dentistry; helping people to achieve great smiles is an amazing thing to do. I also provide family dental care in a General Dental Practitioner role.
I held a teaching post at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester for a number of years, teaching Restorative Dentistry at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I made the move into private practice in 2001, working with Boots Dentalcare Ltd. Boots exited from dentistry in 2005 so I held various private practice positions, until joining the Dental Academy Team in 2007.
I am a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and am looking to study further with the Royal College.
My interest in dental aesthetics was developed further by studying for a Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry under the guidance of one of the most influential dentists in the restorative dentistry field. This gave me the great opportunity to listen to, talk to and learn from some of the best aesthetic dentists in dentistry today. The quality of your smile is a mirror of your confidence, so with a combination of tooth whitening, tooth coloured fillings and bonded porcelain restorations, such as crowns, inlays and veneers, we can craft new and confident smiles and really get you smiling again.
